I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting restaurants to try, especially with the new waterfront in Vancouver.
On this blog, discover some of the most incredible restaurants on the waterfront in Vancouver Washington.
If you’re looking for some time away from your kids, a date night, or want to catch up with friends you are in the right place for a few of my favorite restaurants.
I have had the pleasure of exploring the area and I was blown away by the selection of amazing restaurants. From fresh seafood, exotic flavors, and signature cocktails the waterfront offers something for everyone.
You will also love the views of the Columbia River as you walk along waterfront park. This is one of my best features of the area, as a Vancouver Washington family photographer, I love finding fun locations to recommend for family photography sessions.

Amazing Restaurants on the Waterfront in Vancouver Washington for a Date Night
Dosalas Latin Kitchen & Tequila Bar
This has a Kim K/sexy vibe and lots of good food that is uniquely displayed. It is an elevated dining experience that makes a great location for date nights or celebrations. Also, it offers an incredible view on the Columbia river but make sure you leave your baseball cap at home and dress business casual.
I recommend trying the tempura cauliflower and the chefs choice ceviche!
El Gaucho Vancouver
If you are looking for an elegant and dimly lit steakhouse that offers high end plates of Angus beef and table side caesars, this is the place for you. Located at the swanky hotel Indigo right on the river.
Last, valet is available for a minimal fee.
The Cove
A cape cod like destination, this fresh seafood and steak restaurant offers brunch, lunch, dinner, and social hour. Furthermore, their a la carte menu offers the best seasonal offerings that supports local businesses.
Parties greater than five are encouraged to make a reservation. Last, you can also make a boat reservation! How fun is that?!
The Smokin’ Oak: Texas Style Barbecue
One of my favs to go to with my husband when we get a night away from our kids. Although it is located a little off the waterfront area, it is just as note worthy!
A laid back vibe, excellent drinks, and Texas sized plates with delicious smoked meats that is done right on site. The amazing smoky smells upon walking into the restaurant is incredible.
No reservations needed but does get busy on weekend evenings. It is first come first serve but you can grab a craft cocktail while you wait for your table and enjoy the lively environment.

Wildfin American Grill
Enjoy hand crafted, locally sourced food and drinks right on the river! This feels like you are right in the middle of it all on the waterfront with great people watching and views. From fresh seafood and yummy burgers, you will find something you are going to love.
When the sun is out, make sure to take a seat on their gorgeous patio and watch the river roll by with magnificent views on Mt. Hood. If it’s a typical raining PNW day, just take a seat at their beautiful bar and enjoy the view from inside.
Twigs Bistro
Twigs is an American grill and martini bar that offers a wide ranging choices of signature cocktails. In addition, the food is delicious and atmosphere is soothing.
Centrally located on the Columbia river waterfront, enjoy the beautiful views of the river and bustling of activities that can be enjoyed as you sit on their outdoor patio area. If you choose indoor seating, you will love the views through the expansive windows that look out onto the boardwalk area and river.
I personally loved the roasted brussel sprouts and steak tacos!
Amazing Restaurants for Grabbing a Drink and Friends Night Out
The Waterfront Taphouse
An elevated pub experience with delicious pizzas, appetizers, salads, and signature drinks. Overlooking grant street pier on the second story of the north shore, this is an excellent location and restaurant to meet up with friends to grab delicious drinks and food!
Share appetizers or a pizza board, there is a variety of fantastic food to choose from!
Stack 571 Burger & Whiskey Bar
You will be all smiles as you chow down on hearty sized stack 571 burger and crisp cold beer or whiskey flight! If you are a whiskey lover, make sure you grab their passport and get stamped as you try unique whiskies from different regions.
Not super hungry and just want something to share? Grab the appetizer of gorgonzola fries and a whisky flight.
Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine Tasting and Restaurant
You will love visiting one of the leading wineries in the PNW, which can now be experienced right on the Vancouver waterfront. Furthermore, enjoy world class wines with PNW foods that are paired delightfully with their incredible selection
Open for lunch and dinner that feature suggested wine pairings with vegan/vegetarian options. From shared plates, starters, lunch/dinner, and deserts this is a perfect location for a relaxing lunch for evening out with friends.
Brian Carter Cellars
Would you love a causal and personalized wine tasting experience with your pals? This is the place for you! You and your friends will enjoy hand crafted European-style blended wines that are balanced and well rounded.
In addition, they offer shared plates, snacks, and desserts. Do you love chocolate? I do!! Make sure you try their chocolate that features rotating of different local chocolates.
