What are fine art portraits for schools?

Kids are asked what their favorite food is or what they love most about school. Thus, it gives kids something to focus on other than being photographed by someone they just met and creates an environment that allows for genuine smiles. In addition, they will enjoy the experience and look forward to it again. Children are photographed for a few minutes, so it’s a quick and easy process so they can move on with their day.

How does it work?

I bring all of the equipment needed for that day. I need one window for natural light and a place to set up a backdrop. Moreover, I provide all information for schools to send to parents about the ordering process and what to expect. I strive to make it a seamless process for schools, parents, and your kids.

Your family will have a complete online school photography experience with a password-protected gallery. All orders are online and personally delivered to your school.  There is no minimum order required and no cost to book my services. 

I provide all equipment for photo day and information for the school to send to families.  All profits are from orders, and I donate 10% of gross profits back to the school.

Why fine art portraits over traditional school photos?

Additionally, I have taken thousands of photos of kids, ranging from newborns to teens. With many years of experience working with families, I proudly identify as a Portland family photographer.

Moreover, as a mother of two young children, I truly understand the significance of capturing precious moments through photographs and how children genuinely cherish the experience of being photographed naturally.

Furthermore, I never impose activities on children they do not find enjoyable. Whether outgoing or shy, I find immense joy in capturing their true essence. I firmly believe that children can be photographed both while looking at the camera and when they are not, resulting in stunning photos that genuinely encapsulate who they are in the present.

However, it is essential to note that I prioritize the genuine expression and personality of the child over posing for the camera. I strive to capture authentic moments that reflect their individuality by fostering a comfortable environment.
